Privacy policy

What personal data we collect when you enquire or book, why we need it, and what we do with it.

What we collect

Enquiry and booking details: name, contact details, travel dates, passenger names as they appear on passports, and any preferences or requirements you tell us.

Payment information: the method used and, for crypto payments, the transaction reference and the wallet address a refund should return to. We do not store full card numbers.

Website data: basic analytics about pages viewed and device type, collected through cookies as described in our cookie policy.

Why we use it

To quote, book and service your travel — which means sharing the necessary details with the airlines, hotels, car hire companies and ground operators involved in your itinerary.

To meet legal and accounting obligations, and to handle any complaint or refund.

To send you occasional travel ideas, only if you've asked us to. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Sharing and transfers

We share data only with the suppliers needed to deliver your booking, with our payment providers, and where the law requires it. We never sell personal data.

Because travel is global, your details may be transferred outside the EEA to a supplier in your destination country. We only do this where it's necessary to deliver the booking you've asked for.

Retention and your rights

We keep booking records for as long as accounting and legal obligations require, then delete them.

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to marketing at any time by emailing info@bookatravel.com.
